So.....

Its a been a few weeks. Sorry about that. Real life work stepped in and stepped up again until the end of this month so I've been away for a bit. Lots to share though.

First up, exciting news! Out of the blue Darcy Baldwin asked me to be on her CT! Since I already use so many of her fonts for my pages it was a no-brainer that I would say YES! Doing the happy dance here.

Next up, I've been invited to take over the Monday Scrap Challenges at the Tell Your Story blog. Tell Your Story is a sister site of The Digichick. Its a big job and I just hope I can do it justice. I'm still in charge of the challenges for Digichick too but don't have to make/plan them all myself. I have a wonderful team in place that helps me out.

Speaking of Tell Your Story challenges, here is my first one. For the month of March our theme is Friendship. I've never made a page using a picture of myself and a friend. Its a rare thing to even have a picture, but I did find one of my dear friend Kerry and I. She is such a light in my world and I cherish her friendship!

But just this simple page did not feel like enough so I made a second page. This one is a letter to her telling her just how much I love her. I would love to invite you to make a page for your friend too here in the Dear Friend Challenge.

In completely unrelated chatter, I made this page for the February 2012 Artisan Notebook. Our assignment was to make a page about a particular fabric or pattern that we remember from our childhood. The only one that really stands out strongly in my memory is my mother's bright red furry bathrobe.

I haven't been very prolific in making pages these past few weeks so I'll finish this up today with the last of my latest layouts. As always, if you're interested in reading the journaling on the pages it can be found in my Digichick gallery. This one's a little bit freaky, but its been inside me needing to get out for a looonnnnggg time now. Simple, but expressive.

wow !! so many great pages !! first, congrats for your new CT.
I especially love the idea of pages about friendship, and I can't really chose between the first you made with the photo or the second one with the letter you wrote ... what a great letter, so much love for your friend in it ... she'll certainly appreciate it and more ... love the quote you chose on the first page ...
you two pages about friendship are inspiration for me ... ;)

Thank you for all of your kind comments on my layouts in the gallery, Holly. :) Your pages are always inspiring both in the design and journaling. I really appreciate all of the thought and time that you put into everything you do.
