Try something New

There's an interesting new challenge on The Digichick Blog about trying new scrapping techniques. And isn't that just the entire purpose of participating in challenges -- to stretch yourself and try new things.

So here is the page I made. Its a rather layout simple for me, I think. Not simple as in easy to make -- just its not loaded up with my usual amount of embellishment. Last summer my sister, my daughter and I all fell in love with the same Old Navy sandals. I thought this made a great photo. Luv me a little foot bling!

And here is another page. This one is of my precious niece and her oldest boy. I adore these photos.

If I had to do it all over again...

There is yet another wonderful challenge going on over on The Digichick Blog. What would you do differently in your past if you could. Ohhhh, I can't count how many things I would change, there are just so many. But one of the main things I would change if I could would be to have a better backup plan for University. Spring has sprung

At least I think spring has finally come. We woke up to a light dusting of slushy snow across Tokyo yesterday morning, but today we got up into the 60s. It reminds me a lot of my home state of Colorado. They say, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." And its true.

I have a few new pages to add today. Been having fun scrapping, but its a busy busy time with real-life work too.

New stuff

Oh I'm such a happy shade of busy. So many good things happening. The first thing I can only tell you about for now, can't show because... well, just because. So, here it goes. I get to be a regular member of the Artisan Notebook Just Write team! Woohoo!!! My first layout will be in the May edition, so be sure to check it out! I'll tell you what, being on their team is really going to stretch me. The challenges for the magazine are really challenging! I recently got a listing of the upcoming assignments and all I can say is, "What!? I have to do what??!!" My first reaction is one of shock, but the more I think about it the more I really feel excited to try. I'll be sure to share my layouts here as soon as I can, but in the mean time you really should check out all the fantastic layouts and articles in the Artisan Notebook.

On to more new news, I am now a proud member of the Bubblescraps Designs CT as well. I sent Mye my "resume" and she responded so quickly with such a warm welcome. So look for more pages to come from Bubblescraps as well.
